Is Invisalign right for me?

Ultimately, only a consultation with an orthodontist can fully determine whether or not Invisalign braces are right for you. Your teeth may require standard metal braces, where individual brackets are placed on each tooth and then connected by wire, but more and more people are able to choose Invisalign making it a poplular option.

What does the Invisalign process look like?

After an exam and some X-rays, your dentist will have a better idea of how your teeth need to shift. A customized tray made from 3D-imaging molds will ensure that your trays fit your mouth snugly, and once the lab creates them you’ll return to be fitted.

It’s typical to upgrade your trays every couple of weeks, with an orthodontist visit scheduled about every six weeks to keep an eye on your progress. This is far more convenient than visiting with your Phoenix dentist multiple times a month, saving you time and energy.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Generally the cost of Invisalign can range from $3,000 to $8,000 depending on how much treatment is needed. An initial consultation with your dentist will determine the extent of the treatment needed and an estimate of the cost.

Do they hurt? Will my speech be affected? It’s normal to experience soreness as your teeth shift at first, but overall Invisalign trays feel less stressful in the mouth than metal braces.
Did you say I could remove them? Yes, one of the most attractive qualities of Invisalign is that you can remove them when eating, brushing, or flossing, but please be extra careful not to misplace them! If you must smoke, please remove the trays or risk staining them (which pretty much defeats the purpose of stealth braces).
Are metal braces now a thing of the past? Certainly not! Metal braces remain the most budget-friendly option to straighten teeth, though they do require more frequent visits to tighten, making them less accommodating than Invisalign.
How long until my teeth are straightened? While Invisalign has been proven to work almost twice as fast as standard braces, we’re unable to give you an exact time period.
Do I have to wear a retainer? Once the Invisalign treatment finishes a retainer can be used to keep your teeth from shifting back.
